A few years back my family got in touch with a brilliant artist, Endre Hevezi. The theory was that Endre’s father and my Great-Grandfather were brothers, but It took me some time to confirm exactly how we were related.
Turns out, Endre’s Grandfather, Andreas and My 2nd great-grandfather, Marton Hevezi Sr. were 1/2 brothers. Here are the baptism records to show the rest of their family.

Athough the spellings are a bit different, the location and dates match up. – Marton had 2 sisters, Julianna and Rozalia.
….. and two half siblings, Andreas (Endre’s grandfather) and Maria. I believe that their mother’s correct last name was “Navarasz”.
Marton Hevezi Sr. married Julianna Szucs and had 5 sons, Martin, Mihaly, Lajos, Pal and Istvan.
Note: There are several different spellings for each name, including Marton’s. (Marton, Martin, Martinus.
